Building the Local Energy Systems of the Future

Focus:

  • Moving beyond individual buildings to examine real-world examples of integrated local energy systems. The session will showcase how waste heat, heat pumps, district heating, thermal storage, Power-to-Heat, renewable generation and digital controls are already being combined in Austrian projects. The session will explore what works, what does not, the business models behind these systems, and what is needed to scale them from individual projects to entire districts and cities
